He was born in 1935 (Mississippi) and he passed away in 1977 (Tennessee). Elvis Aaron Presley, nicknamed "The King”, is a singer and an American actor. His influence on the musical culture is global.

Elvis’ musical influences were the pop and country music. And the gospel music he heard in church, at the all-night gospel sings he frequently attended. With a sound and a unique style, he has combined  his musical effects to lead the American music in a new era.

He starred in 33 successful movies. Every television appearances and specials shows were an event . He received a great acclaim with his live concerts performances on tour and in Las Vegas. Globally, he has sold between 600 million and one billion albums. He's more than an artist. With his 150 different albums, he won some gold and platinum awards. He sold much more that most artists. In his lifetime, he gave 1156 concerts in the United States and the three in Canada (Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa in 1957), and gave 525 shows in Las Vegas.

He has been nominated for 14 Grammy Awards and received 3 victories. He was also appointed, at the age of 36, One of the Ten Outstanding Young Men of the Nation for 1970 by the United States Jaycees.

His talent,  good looks, sensuality, charisma, and good humor endeared him to millions, as did the humility and human kindness he demonstrated throughout his life. Known the world over by his first name, he is considered as one of the most important faces of the twentieth century. It is the solo artist who sold most records all over the world during his lifetime. This has continued after his death. For four consecutive years, it was the deceased artist who earned the most money. At his death, his personal fortune amounted to 100 million U.S. dollars.


         Graceland is the name of the residence having belonged to this singer Elvis Presley, to Memphis (Tennessee, the United States). The ranch serves at present as large-dimension monument and as museum opened to the public since 1982. It's the first house visited today in the USA and it's the fifth most visited of North America. It proves that he's a true legend because his memory is always present same after its death.

She was born in 1929 (Belgium) and she passed away in 1993 (Swiss). She's an English actress and she’s considered by everyone as one of the most important actress of all time. She represents the elegance, the grace. She had the reputation of being a humble, kind and charming person.

When Audrey Hepburn appeared for the first time on the screen she wasn't thinking of the influence which she would leave behind her. With her slim figure, glittering eyes and shy smile, she instantly gained the attention of thousands of fans around the world.

She intended herself initially to the dance before joining the scene at the end of 1940's. She has been nominated fives times for the Academy Awards (Oscars), in particular for Holly Golightly's interpretation in “Breakfast at Tiffany's” (1961). She entered in the history of the cinema as one of her biggest actresses ever.

Audrey Hepburn was a movie star, a humanitarian and a legend but her biggest happiness was being mother to her two sons. She was a UNICEF goodwill ambassador for starving children around the world.


December 1st and 2nd 2009 in Paris takes place an exhibition dedicated to the wardrobe of the actress Audrey Hepburn. Half of the profits will be put back to the association The Audrey Hepburn of Children Fund. It proves that she is a true legend because her memory is always present even after her death.

He was born in 1889 (London) and he passed away in 1977 (Swiss). Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin better known as Charlie Chaplin, was an Academy Award-winning English comic actor. Chaplin became one of the most famous actors as well as a big filmmaker, composer and musician in Hollywood. He is considered as a clown with a lot of mimes. He greatly influenced other performers.

Chaplin directed, scripted, produced, and scored his own films as one of the most creative and influential personalities of the silent-film era. After his first 11 movies, Chaplin began to manifest a desire to direct. By his thirteenth film, he also appeared as actor. He realized 35 films at Hollywood studio and the film Keystone has him establishes as a big comic of film. He next moved on to Essanay Studios in Chicago where he had the complete freedom of creation. That is why known The Little Tramp a frank success.

Chaplin's principal character was "The Tramp" (known as "Charlot" in France, and the French-speaking world, Italy, Spain, Andorra, Portugal, Greece, Romania, and Turkey, "Carlitos" in Brazil and Argentina, and "Vagabund" in Germany). The character wears a tight coat, oversized trousers and shoes, and a derby; carries a bamboo cane; and has a moustache.

Chaplin was the most important filmmaker of the silent film era. Through his clear understanding of film and its capabilities, and his constant experimentation, he set up rules for the comedy of screens and they are respected always now.
